When do the sessions run?

During our sailing season we run sessions every Thursday evening, from 6:30pm till 8pm. If the weather is looking bad, call the office to check with Pat to see if the session is going ahead.

What to do I need to bring and what is provided?

We provide you with:

  • Boats
  • Safety cover and instruction
  • Buoyancy aids

You need to bring:

  • Suitable footwear - like old trainers
  • Warm outdoor clothing

How much does it cost?

Each session costs £6.00. This goes towards paying for the insurance and hiring extra boats from the Berkshire Sail Training Centre.

Do I need to fill in any paper work?

On your first visit we will need you to fill in a health declaration form. This is held securely and is 100% confidential.

Is there any age restriction?

We regrettably can only take children from the age of 8+.

Are there any ability restrictions?

None at all. If you are concerned, please call Pat or Charles.

Is there parking near by?

We have a car park on site, next to the clubhouse, which has full wheelchair access.

Do I need any experience?

We gladly welcome everyone, novices to experienced sailors.

How do I get into the boats?

We have a wheelchair pontoon, with a lifting harness to help you aboard if required. There is also access into the boats from our floating pontoon.
